Caspian could admit that he didn’t have many people he could refer to as friends. Plenty of acquaintances and colleagues, but he wasn’t social enough to garner a large circle of friends. One perk of that was that those connections he did have were quite strong, and he was also fairly in tune with them, and his radar had been ticking for a while now with Jett. They hadn’t seemed like themselves, and he certainly didn’t want to push it. He knew if he directly called her out and asked what was up, she would retreat. But he had to try to help cheer them back up somehow. So, at the conclusion of his overnight shift, he made his way to the trailer park, knowing the path to Jett’s well. He simply hoped that they were already awake as he knocked on the door, a bag from the hospital gift shop and a drink carrier from the Crashdown in tow. “Jett, it’s me. Are you busy?” he called through the door “I brought breakfast milkshakes.”
