“Just take a blurry photo of-no that might get me shot.” Fari clicks her tongue with a frown. “Yeah I think if you took a picture of a lion in Washington, we might have a problem. How come you guys aren’t cryptids?”

“You are so loud,” she groans. Would much better prefer silent paws, but lions don’t talk to people and for once, she’s interested in what they have to say. Fari tugs a leaf out of her hair and glares at the leaves crunching under her boots. “I know you’re not a wolf, but like...your species survived this long, right? Probably not by letting predators know where you are.” She pauses, a brief snicker making it past sharpened canines. “But you also probably didn’t talk to said predators either.”
She’s sleeping when Charlotte returns. Stretched out languidly in a spot of sun on the floor all six feet of her. Ears prick when she hears the door open, head raising. Fari stands slowly and yawns, nosing the bag in the other’s hand. Can smell food and see a flash of something dark that she hopes is clothes. Charlotte’s outfits don’t even remotely fit her. Takes a moment to change back and reach for the bag, freezing in the motion with a still sharp smile. “What’d you get?”
