Tom Riddle was born at Wool’s Orphanage after his mother stumbled in and gave birth, dying soon after. He was raised in the Orphanage and while there he began to show signs of his Wizarding heritage. He had a good control over thiis power, being able to move objects with his mind, manipulate animals, speak parseltounge as well harm others.
When he was 11, Professor Dumbledore came to visit and this was where he found out he was a wizard and began schooling at Hogwarts. He got sorted into Slytherin and was considered a perfect student.
However, this was all a facade, hiding his true personality. He had a following of Slytherin students, who from the outside seemed like friends but really he just used them for his gain, manipulated them to do as he pleased. These turned into the first Death Eaters.
He became obsessed with his wizarding heritage and began to learn more about the gaunt family and their relation to Salazar Slytherin. At this time he despised his Father and his muggle heritage and gave himself the Alias Lord Voldemort.
During his 5th year, he found the Chamber of Secrets and tamed the Basilisk inside. In June of 1943 was when the Basilisk injured many students and killed one. When he found out the school was going to close and he was going to have to go back to the Orphanage, he decided to close the Chamber and frame Hagrid and his pet Acromantula.
In August of 1943, Tom went to Little Hangleton where he met his Uncle Morfin Gaunt who said that he looks ‘mighty like that muggle’ Gaining information that infuriated Tom, he stunned his uncle, stole his wand and seeked revenged. Killing his grandfather, grand mother and father with the killing curse. The young wizard covered up his crimes and changed Morfins memories causing him to confess to the crimes. Taking the Gaunt family signet ring which would become his second horcrux
In his 6th year at Hogwarts he found out about a dark magical called a Horcrux. He sort out Professor Slughorn to know more about them as No books had any information on how to create them. this was the year he created his first horcrux, placing apart of his sole into his diary.
During his final year he was made Head boy and earned outstanding marks for each exam that he took. Gaining a medal for magical merit.
Tom approached Headmaster Dippet to ask for a job as the DADA teacher, it was refused because he was too young but adviced to apply in a few years.
Before leaving Hogwarts he managed to charm Helena Ravenclaw into telling him the location of the Ravenclaw Diadem, which was deep in a forest in Albania. Tom travelled there once graduating from Hogwarts and the Diadem became his third Horcux.
When he returned to Britian he took a job at Borgin and Burkes which surprised plenty of people as he was offered several positions in the Ministry of Magic. He was very good at persuading people to part with valuable magical hairlooms.
He befriended Hepzibah Smith, a descendant of Helga Hufflepuff. Who soon showed him her two most valuable items. Slytherins Locket and the Hufflepuff cup. He murder her by using a poison and vanished with the two items. Covering his tracks and putting memories in to Hokey the house-elf who believed to kill Hepzibah.
He soon resigned at Borgin and Burkes and made his next two horcuxes.
For the next ten years Tom disappeared slipping deeper into the Dark Arks, travelling around the world. He began to use the Alias Lord Voldemort more openly.
