Spitballing here--would that make Madara's brief stint in Ryuseitai his full Kaibaman equivalent?

nnnoooo, his full kaibaman equivalent couldnt be the existing version of ryusei purple or exist at all since his ideal self would be able to save kanata and his sister on top of being strong and dependable enough to remain ryuseitai captain, but even as ryusei purple he wasnt able to do those things. and actually, i think he was in ryuseitai for some time. MaM was formed mid war when keito got it approved as a unit in order to get rid of madara and send him out of the country for kanata's execution, and the war was during madaras second year. so hed have to have been in ryuseitai for at least a little over a year before handing down the captain position to chiaki.

It’s looking like this char, Firefly, is SAM’s pilot and SAM is just a mech suit not a fully independent robot 💔 bc they’re being promo’d separately I think it’s gonna be a plot twist so I don’t wanna just casually discuss it but man. Truly devastated.

idk SAM (or rather Firefly) was all cutesy and funny so should I be Surprised that the twist is it was a cute girl the whole time? no. am I wildly disappointed? yeah absolutely it would have fucked hard to give that kinda personality to a weird violent masc-coded robot 😒

I mentally compare him a lot to an angel, not because of the He's Pretty thing. But more in the "be not afraid" way. Because half of the shit he pulls is just honestly terrifying.

Yes!! I’m on chapter 147 at this point, so almost completely caught up and I really enjoy it so far! The first few transitions from arc to arc were messy, but by the end of the Kyoto Goodwill Arc, Gege-sensei really started to nail the pacing and sudden transitions.

Absolutely suggest anyone who wants to get into JJK should watch the anime at least through the Kyoto Goodwill Arc because they handle the transitions and some of the content better tbh.

And absolutely! His eye motif and his unofficial status as the guardian of sorcerers and humans really lend to the angel status—PLUS he’s pretty.

For sure, when he reveals his eyes especially, you know you are about to see some real biblical shit.

Personally, my favorites now that I’m mostly caught up are Choso, Mahito, Geto, and Mei Mei. It’s hard slimming down because there are so many dynamic characters tho. Like Rika is also....such a mood!

Returning for the theatre comment: you're right and you should say it, there's a supreme layer of irony in a piece like Hadestown being so expensive to go and experience (thank you bootlegs). Same could be said about a lot of pieces, especially given the many of those wrapped up in themes of poverty and socioeconomic class division.

honestly! like hadestown & rent are the big two i can think of (again, i am not a theater person) that really make the concept of poverty tourism apparent

Bit late to the discussion of the anon scared to write on a blog--I, A, have submitted multiple fanfics for a grade (my creative writing teacher probably had some idea but didn't care, besides, I was obsessed with Dragon Age and AC Syndicate at the time), and B, was in exactly your shoes when I started my writing blog. The audience you get will be dedicated in small fandoms, and people will like the cakes you offer under cakes theory, and you get practice. So like. I say go for it. If you're worried about anything linking back to your main blog, choose a different enough blog name. The sky's the limit. I believe in you.
