 The trip to Sora’s room was a very IMPROMPTU decision for a visit on Lucielle’s behalf but she could only hope the girl didn’t mind her sudden presence and was in her room of course. A knock and then she pushed it open, walking inside without much of a shame. “Okay, I NEED an update on this scandalous party that I missed. It sounds like the event of the year from all the whispers I’ve been hearing. Did you go?” Not missing a beat, Lucy plopped onto Sora’s bed. “I haven’t seen you much around and I’m afraid life has become incredibly boring without you. So I POLITELY insist we do something together.”

 “Things in school are REEEALLY busy,” she half-lied to her mom over the phone as she rounded the corner, “I might not be on my phone a lot for the next couple of days.” Renee’s voice came from the other end, annoyed and Lucielle winced. The figure on the other end of the corridor caught her attention and for a second there she considered RUNNING from Sora, as well, but she was pretty sure the other had already spotted her. “I know, mom, I know. I have to go now, though, I’m meeting up with Sora. Byeee.” Cutting her mother’s protests off, she stepped in the girl’s direction, faking a smile. “Hello there, gorgeous.” She awkwardly moved her weight from one leg to the other, a question BOTHERING her. “Um, have you talked to your brother at all today?” After all, he’d spilled the context of their fight to Alek immediately, nothing stopped him from doing the same with his twin.

In our hearts a hopeful song we barely understood.    Now we are not afraid ... although we know there's much to fear.   We were moving mountains long before we knew we could. “  She is a beacon of LIGHT in this worlds endless darkness -- the oracle staving off daemon and shadow, keeping her people safe from monsters and from plague.  She extends a hand to him, helps him back up to his feet.  Her acceptance of the newcomers relaxes the hunters.

Sora's gonna pop in beside the girl, handing her a handmade gift- A good luck charm in the shape of a paopu fruit, made specially for her out of seashells.

It’s a weird shape -- sort of reminiscent of a STAR.   She traces it with her fingers thoughtfully.   The gesture is so SWEET, the kind of thing no one has done for her since she was a child, when she and Heather shared FRIENDSHIP braces.   It feels lifetimes away, now -- He must have made it himself, it’s not something you’d find hanging around in any of the gift shops or anything.  ( a sharp ‘what the hell am I supposed to do with this’ sits poised on her lips but one look at his face keeps the words at bay.   He’s just so GOOD. ) 

“ ... did you go out to the beach ... and get these shells yourself -- ? “  FOR ME ?  she doesn’t say, because it’s the most sincere gesture anyone has ever done for her.   She doesn’t realize how tightly she’s clutching the little charm, close to her heart.   Something to keep when he goes away, something to remember.   ( She can hang it on her purse, or by her bed ... )
