@electrically liked for an event starter! 💡
Part of Duke felt nostalgic. There was something about patrolling the streets and putting a stop to chaos that reminded him of the old days. It wasn’t a tyrannical government agency they’d been fighting then, but it had the same flavor. He was still determined to fight against people who made oppression their literal career. This was the first time he’d done anything major in Star City and it made it feel a little more like home. He was born and raised in Gotham. This was the first time he had the chance to explore anywhere else. But he didn’t need to be here long to see that Bruce was right. The city definitely needed them.
So when he saw someone heading in a direction he knew contained trouble, Duke was quick to stop them. “You shouldn’t go that way. There are more agents. Where are you trying to go? I can help you find another way.” He was still new to the city, but he was already familiar with how it was laid out. That was one of the first things he made a point to familiarize himself with after he’d been assigned to patrol.
