Joe’s Underworld was like any strip club, with the low, colored lights that fueled the sleazy atmosphere. It had been over a month since Adrian had walked through the doors and sat himself in one of the trashy, velvet chairs. The past few weeks had been filled with nothing but Aurora and work, the two mingling together until all his thoughts revolved around one or the other. But the past days had brought his world to a screeching halt. Between Tate and Hailey and bearing the deepest part of his soul to Aurora, Adrian was feeling overwhelmed. It felt like he’d shown too many cards, his usual walls so low that it was staggeringly frightening. Instead of seeking more comfort in Aurora’s arms, he was trying to find himself again so that he could at least have some sort of barrier with the people who weren’t her. He wasn’t really ready for everyone else to just how vulnerable he could be. Sipping his rum and coke, Adrian’s eyes drifted toward Cam as one of the dancers eyed the older man. “Are you gonna quote a bible verse at her?” he questioned, multi hued eyes falling back onto the well endowed woman as a smirk passed his lips. @camgreyson
