The Cabin Fever remake is so fucking bad, Matt looks like he's just rereading the script for Malec in his head, he looks so distracted and makes his weird faces. Despite that he is the only decent actor, everyone else is bad.

Movie Connections

So I recently rewatched the 2016 version of Cabin Fever and it got me thinking of the original. I've seen it multiple times and I enjoy both versions. But I was thinking back to the character of "Grim" and of the dog "Dr. Mambo". I was searching through the tags on here and saw a collection of screen grabs done by someone and one of them wasn't from Cabin Fever, but was from 2001 Maniacs. I remembered that in the movie 2001 Maniacs, that there was a guy with his dog trying to hitch a ride by throwing roadkill at people to make them stop. I also remembered that his dogs name was "Dr. Mambo" too! So I looked it up and sure enough it's actually Eli Roth, the guy who wrote and directed the original Cabin Fever!! He also played "Grim" in his film and he reprised the character of "Grim" for 2001 Maniacs! So, to me, that means that 2001 Maniacs is set before Cabin Fever, seeing as how "Grim" and "Dr. Mambo" die in Cabin Fever. I find it really neat how two movies can have similar themes (ie, sex, gore, death, and weird comedy) and also have the same character in a minor role, all done by the same person. I know it might not seem like it has any importance, but I think it's really cool
