Interesting fact: this is the first October writing challenge (Inktober/Calloween) in the eight years that I've been doing it where I haven't been completely burnt out afterwards with regards to writing. Usually, I can't touch fiction writing for a month or more. This time, I was writing more random scenes and one shots not two days later! Yay! :D
The main difference between this and other years has been that I finished a lot of the pieces in advance. There was an overwhelming majority of pieces finished at least one day before they were posted, where usually they would be an on-the-day, down-to-the-wire rush. Which isn't to say that didn't happen this year, but it was only two or three times as opposed to twenty plus.
Another help, of course, was the amount of feedback I received, the love of the works and appreciation of the challenge. So well done me for planning ahead properly for once, and thank you to everyone who cheered me on!
