Anyone who knows Sophie knows that people are not her thing and children are especially irksome to her. She is grumpy curmudgeon of a dog and this is her best friend. Nug has laid on her, sat on her, planked on her, used her as an anchor point to climb onto the couch, hugged and kissed her, and read her stories all day. The worst he got was a mild grumble because he was starting to hurt her. In exchange Nugget feeds her as many treats as he can get his hands on, insists we take her for walks, hands down as many table scraps as he can manage, and frees her from the crate the first chance he gets.
