It amazes me when I read posts from people that are surprised that Adam is not gonna be the main character of the new MotU series.

Literally every article and promotional announcement has talked mostly about Teela and her quest to put the band back together. The new show is gonna be about Teela.

And how is that even a surprise? In the Filmation show, the show of which the new Revelations is a sequel to, Teela was the daughter of the Sorceress and destined to become the new Sorceress of Grayskull after her! Before the Fimaltion cartoon, Teela was a demi-goddess, a shard of the Goddess splintered off and placed in a mortal body.

Teela has always been one of the most important characters in Masters of the Universe.

It's about fucking time she got her own show and anyone who complains about that fundamentally misunderstands the source material.

(Also, what the fuck is "Adam-baiting"?)

Teela with her long hair is another one they don't show much of.

The second trailer begins with Teela taking off the tiara she wore through out her entire Filmation career.

And then we're given a clear view of her with messy hair glaring angrily at someone else in the throne room (I assume Adam and/or Duncan).

She's then seen leaving the palace (or possibly Eternos?) under cover of darkness. She looks back and we get this shot:

Teela's unconverted head is not seen again until she reveals her new haircut that I assume she's gonna have for the rest of the series.

Her super-cute and sexy "action girl" style "half-shaved bob".

Anyway, I personally like Teela's new hairstyle and the fact that her character is getting more focus in this series. Teela has always been important to MotU lore even if the narratives don't treat her that way, and I think her new look is an appropriate update to her design in order to appeal to a newer audience (which is what successful shows do).

CGI Eldress and Teela have a better mom and daughter relationship than 2002 Teela and Sorceress, and CGI aren't even related!

That we know of. CGI Teela and Eldress aren't related that we know of. I'm not gonna rule it out just yet.

Anyway, Eldress and Teela have a better mother-daughter relationship because they have an actual relationship! They talk to each other. They have had multiple complete conversations. Eldress has eased Teela's fears, she's reassured her of not only her powers, but of her own identity as an individual. She's mentored her and educated her. Everything a parent is supposed to do.

Teela and the Sorceress only have professional conversations in the context of Captain of the Eternos Guard and Sorceress of Grayskull. Any mother-daughter conversation they have is immedietly wiped from Teela's mind the next moment because the Sorceress can't let Teela know where she comes from for some reason? Even their conversation at the end of Revelation Part 2 fell just short of a true familial connection.

Yeah, so's Krypto the Superdog, that didn't stop him from getting his own series.

Instead of updating any of my existing stories that people care about, like, and want updates for, I have decided it’s a good idea to start a new fic! Not just a new fic, but a new fic for an obscure comic that no one has read, no one cares about, and no one wants to read fan fiction for! Whoo-hoo! Taking place on Anti-Eternia from the “Masters of the Multiverse” comic. The second installment in my fan fic series that’s basically just a sequel series to the comic. Now that she’s no longer evil, Teela is having some trouble adjusting to being one of the Heroic Warriors. Perhaps her calling lies elsewhere, doing something else.
