Linguistic Mysteries
A Hoshi/T’Pol sickfic drabble also posted here
“T’kalaathi barin,” T’Pol gasped.
“Her brain is functioning normally despite the fever,” Phlox informed.
“I’m sorry, doctor, I’ve checked everything in the database. The words sound Vulcan, but I can’t normalize them to any language pattern,” Hoshi lamented. “It’s gibberish.”
“Thank you for trying.”
As Hoshi turned to leave, T’Pol’s arm shot out and grabbed hers.
“What do you want? Give me something here!”
She tugged her closer.
“Why are you doing this? Why can’t you just talk to me?”
“Linguistic mysteries,” T’Pol murmured in an archaic Vulcan dialect, “intrigue you most.”
“Do you want me to stay?”
T’Pol nodded.
my blogbook is full of nonsense and bottlewash. Will be starting anew soon.

Jack: Ianto?
Ianto: Yes Captain?
Jack: How are you feeling?
Ianto: Fine. Any reason I shouldn't be?
Jack: The glove. It brought Suzie back.
Ianto: Yeah.
Jack: And?
Ianto: And?
Jack: And? you know we could have used it to on Lisa. Is that what you meant about there being a second glove?
Ianto: You think I've got the second glove?
Jack: No! No, I don't. But if you did?
Ianto: Would you let me bring her back?
Jack: You've not asked us to.
Ianto: You haven't offered.
Jack: You don't want us to?
Ianto: Lisa's dead, sir.
Jack: I know.
Ianto: And I miss her. Every day. But I don't want her back like that. Not like how she was in the end. Not like Suzie.
Jack: Good. See you in a minute?
Ianto: On my way.
Jack: Oh yeah, forgot to say. Loving you in that suit. The Cute Suit.
Ianto: Thank you sir but it's probably best if I do the rhymes.

Saving him might have completely messed up the course of history. But sometimes you don't care, you want to break the rules of time and space, throw everything into chaos and to hell with the consequences, just to save someone you love.

I BET YOU CAN HEAR ME SCREAMING WHICHEVER PART OF THE WORLD YOU'RE IN.
If you were born between 1987-2004, which is many of us, there’s a Star Trek episode closest to your birthday. Mind the overlap between TNG (Sep 1987-May 1994), DS9 (Jan 1993-May 1999), and Voyager (Jan 1995-May 2001).
Do you like the Star Trek episode released closest to your birthday?
It’s basically my favorite episode!
It’s good and I like it
It’s good but I don’t like it
It’s bad but I like it
It’s bad and I don’t like it
I hate it and think it sucks
It’s too batshit to tell if it’s good or bad
I have no particular opinion about it
I haven’t seen it
Born outside the age range / see results / bald / other
You do not have to say what episode it is. I’m not.
