Cecilion is deep in thought—eyebrows furrowed, book in hand, the candlelight flickering against his midnight-blue cloak. He’s muttering something about mana theory and historical bloodlines when you walk over and perch beside him.

You stare.

He doesn’t notice.

You continue staring.

Still nothing.

And then, without warning, your hands reach out and squish his cheeks between your palms.

“Whmmph—!” he blinks rapidly, caught mid-sentence. “Whmmph arrmm ymmm doin’?!”

You giggle. “You look too serious. Had to fix that.”

Cecilion slowly lowers the book, frowning with puffed-out cheeks still trapped in your hands. “Y/n... this is most undignified.”

He sighs dramatically, rubbing his face. “You are lucky I adore you.”

You grin. “I know.”

A pause. Then, softly—

You blink. “What?”

He turns his face, cheeks slightly pink. “If it makes you smile like that... you may squish me again.”

You melt instantly. “You’re actually so cute, it’s dangerous.”
