Stoked surfer reports: this just in >> "the 6’6 you guys hooked me up with is incredible. Had an opportunity recently when OB went off for about a week straight and got to really sink my teeth into it and get a feel for it ... I had an absolute blast with this thing and got the biggest carves and barrels I’ve had in my life. When it gets that big getting speed isn’t the issue for me - its more about regulating speed and power. I don’t know what it was exactly, maybe because the 6’1 you guys did for me is the same model, but after a couple warmup waves to just sort of feel out the thing I almost immediately felt like I had an intuitive sense and trust in the board. I felt like I could be very aggressive because the responsiveness, flex, and ability to ride the foam ball and imperfections is pretty incredible. Usually there is a stiffness to boards and they can’t absorb imperfections or when you are tube riding and its sort of like riding on rocks on the foam ball as opposed to just cutting through. Because of the trust I have in the board I feel sort of free’d up to just focus on the surfing and get very aggressive. Maybe another way to say it is that the board easily ends up feeling like an extension of me rather than a foreign and separate object. Can't wait for the conditions to come around again and get some more opportunities this winter to let it rip.
