KPDH ASSASSIN'S CREED AU PART 2
Buckle up y'all, angst up ahead
Rumi's father had already warned the trio that Gwi-Ma is searching for them, so they prepare for the inevitable fight.
No one is prepared for ALL the Honmoon hideouts to be ambushed around the same time.
Nearly all the Hunters have been wiped out in the mainland, save for the home base in Jeju Island. All the remaining Hunters, including Celine, Poppy, and Mi-Yeong, retreated to the island for both safety and to prepare for a final fight. Gwi-Ma, in his arrogance for decimating the other hideouts, arrives at the island in person to strike the final blow and destroy the Honmoon once and for all.
Gwi-Ma's biggest flaw was having little to no knowledge of the terrain.
Despite being outnumbered, the Hunters deal a heavy blow on Gwi-Ma's forces. They use some of the dark coastal lines to their advantage, blending with the black rocks to sneak into Gwi-Ma's ships during the dead of the night to destroy cargo and eliminate their enemies.
Day by day, Gwi-Ma's forces fall. Unfortunately, the same could be said for the Honmoon's forces.
On the final night of the battle, Gwi-Ma decides to find the exact location of the Honmoon base. He iss dangerously close to finding the secret entrance but is thwarted by Celine, Poppy, and Rumi's father. Enraged from seeing the traitor, Gwi-Ma has his remaining forces focus on Rumi's father while he fights head to head with Celine and Poppy (Most of the Hunters fight alongside Rumi's father, somewhat acknowledging the severity of an Akgwi member betraying Gwi-Ma).
Despite the two hunters fighting fiercely against him, Gwi-Ma is evenly matched. His large build and armor do little to slow him down, his speed and agility making him terrifyingly deadly. Celine and Poppy experience too many close calls, the blade of Gwi-Ma's sword having knicked them several times.
Moments before Gwi-Ma can strike down a fallen Celine, an arrow pierces through the battle field...and a chunk of Gwi-Ma's demon mask falls to the ground.
Gwi-Ma whirls towards the direction from which the arrow hailed, revealing purple patterns and a glowing pink eye beneath his mask.
He easily finds Mi-Yeong hidden in the treelines, her aim at the ready for another blow.
Gwi-Ma, in the blink of an eye, whips out a hand gun he acquired during the Japanese invasions and points it straight at Mi-Yeong.
The echo of the bullet masks the hiss of the arrow being released, both wielders stricken by their opponents.
Gwi-Ma has an arrow in his throat and is scrambling to stay upright. Mi-Yeong drops to her knees as she weakly claws at her chest, the bullet lodged in her heart.
Rumi's father, distracted by the bullet echo and seeing his love down, is stabbed in the back, the blade piercing his heart. His final thoughts are of Rumi, pleading to the spirits that his daughter is spared from Gwi-Ma's wrath as she grows.
When Gwi-Ma collapses, it's as if a switch is flipped. All of Gwi-Ma's remaining forces fall back, taking his body with them as they scramble to escape the island.
Celine doesn't hesitate to sprint towards Mi-Yeong, tears streaming down her face in fear and agony when she holds her love friend in her arms. Mi-Yeong's smile is fragile, knowing there is nothing that can be done for her. Her final words to Celine are for her and Poppy to take care of Rumi.
Poppy, after ensuring all of Gwi-Ma's forces are gone, scrambles to reach Celine and Mi-Yeong. Along the way, she finds Rumi's father and offers a silent prayer for him. She bursts into tears when she sees Celine clutching onto Mi-Yeong and sobbing.
After a full head count, the Hunters are down to less than 10 percent of their total forces. Bodies are collected, and there is a massive funeral for those who gave their lives to protect the Honmoon.
Celine and Poppy are numb to it all, the loss of so many friends almost too much for them.
They vow to keep Rumi safe from the Akgwi.
"This is clearly teenage time traveling Ryu Rumi" vs "no this is clearly a reverse Mahō Shōjo Ore situation and that's Ryu Rumi's father" vs "Ryu Miyeong faked her death and she came back as a magical girl" theories on the internet. The discourse is very heated.
Meanwhile, Rumi would like everyone to know that her surname is Kang, actually, and that Celine is the only parent she claims (does she know that Celine is a magical girl? If yes, then she would have some feelings about the resemblance. If not, then I could imagine her having a one sided beef with whoever the fuck this is)
Thirdlight has confirmed that this is not Rumi, and now has strong suspicions that it might be Celine solely because of the way she acts
Celine would just like a pair of pants, which does not help the "she's actually a man transforming into a magical girl" theories (there is totally not any gender crisis going on in Celine's head at the idea that she could be a man or a woman or neither)
It’s fiiiiiine she’s not gonna have a gender crisis it’s all so totally fine!
Also where’s the clone theory? The internet loves clone theories. The only reason I was suggesting time travel is because I assumed Celine still looked her own age, if she looks like a teenager then obviously the internet assumes that she’s a clone
Celine who somehow ends up having a 1v1 with Gwi-Ma and she's injured and he's about to get the final blow and, in a moment of desperation, she transforms in her magical girl form. It gives her the edge necessary to drive him back, partly because of the confusion, but she doesn't win.
And if Celine transforming leads to the other magical girls feeling it and them coming to help, only to see Celine in the middle of like, a scorched forest or something, fighting a bunch of demons. They are. so confused.
Cue Celine explaining that "yes I am a magical girl twice over actually," and everyone just going, "How many jobs do you have, woman???" because she's apparently a single mom CEO popstar demon hunter magical girl, and "How are you still alive???? How have you not died from sheer exhaustion????" Even the boardbember believes that this amount of overwork is excessive and unrealistic.
On the bright side (or downsidez depending on who you ask) now the other magical giels are insistant on helping with the demon hunting aspect
I feel like this works best with the twentysomething Celine version of her being a magical girl?
And it’s a great question, whether they’d be useful or not! Can anything other than a Hunter’s weapon or aspect of the Honmoon harm a demon? How close are the magical girls’ powers to the soul magic that Hunters use? How would the power of friendship compare to the broader connections that the Honmoon is based on?

This os a side/minor thing for Magical Girl AU.
Have we considered Celine being upset/frustrated that she ended up in a Magical Girl Genre and not a Shonen/Naruto genre? (See, the post regarding her Naruto running to chase a demon)
Celine is just pissed off that she’s got a genre at all, mostly. But yes, a little bit that all her powers are so… fluttery and not anything cool
Celine does a charity stream where she finally shows people her secret motorbike 🏍️ collection. She shows them off talks about how they work and each one’s history and even shows how she cleans/maintains them. It ends up being a big hit and Celine gets offers for new bikes for her Collection in exchange for modeling for the company’s.
Celine accepts and Rumi feels a disturbance in the force telling her not to let Celine leave her apartment 😆
It starts out fine. Like no danger or nothing, just a curious little stream where Celine goes full giddy showing off her beautiful bikes and gushes over them with Chat.
Then she started getting offers for partnership and collaborations and again, still chill.
Rumi genuinely didn't have any issues with all this especially when Zoey and Mira would join Celine on these streams. Hell, sometimes the collaborations and offers included Huntrix as well. More popularity, more fans, more power to the Honmoon.
The problem comes...when collaboration modeling becomes collaborative competitions.
Charity events that have Celine actually competing in races and what not.
Listen she knows Celine is more than capable but she can't stop that part of herself that screams every time she sees Celine get too close to a barrier or like a fraction off the track or overtaking an opponent that if any closer would have been a catastrophic collision.
She knows the Honmoon would protect Celine from serious injury if something were to happen but that doesn't stop her from sometimes wanting to lock Celine in the Tower and hide her insane collection of death machines.
It doesn't help that the whole internet knows how much this particular hobby of her not-mom gives her wicked anxiety.
Her reaction are constantly becoming memes, especially the ones during Celine's stunt performances.
"Rumi, I'm a Hunter. A fall from a plane wouldn't kill me."
"You're a retired Hunter who hasn't jumped from a plane in decades! Just yesterday you were complaining about your back!"
"Because a demon knicked me when it tackled me. That shit burns."
"Maybe because you lost your touch because you're not as young as you used to be."
"Or maybe it's because the Demon who tackled me was my daughter who ambushed me in an attempt to keep me from leaving the Tower! You know how wounds take longer to heal on Hunters if caused by demons!"
"Just stay home and knit like a normal old person!"
"I'm not a normal old person!"
