One of the problems with "fixing" rwby is that some of the idea could make funny/interesting fics, like Raven getting kicked out of her tribe(potentially interesting) or Ozpin ending up with roman after he dies(imagine the comedy shenanigans possible), like I could see myself reading a fic that focuses on one of those things and enjoying myself, but instead of just saying it's a canon divergent fanfic, instead he says it's "fixing rwby" which is incredibly snobbish.
Its not even the snobbishness, which of course people like Judgmental Critter praise due to her hatred of Oscar.
Its the sheer sexism, cliches,
Character bloat that 10X the size of RWBY,
The obsessive focus and dedication to male characters over female characters,
The dedication to making female characters hated or injured
The desire to justify any bad actions made by male characters

Oversexualizing themes and characters
Romanticizing a sexual predator (Shay D. Mann) and making him a father, husband, and stepfather.
Trying to make every single villain "morally grey" while making the heroes hated.
Making male villains into protagonists and female protagonists into sidekicks.
Comedy consists of insulting women's chests and men's faces.
Removing POC characters and replacing them with white characters.
Making sure multiple women get killed off.
Defending racist bullies and pushing for friendship between male bullies and their female victims.
Having friends fight each other for petty reasons?
Dictators like Ironwood are now humanitarians?
Ozpin is now as manipulative as Albus Dumbledore in badly written Harry Potter fanfics?
Celtic Phoenix Has QUITE the obsession.
They make women into alcoholics and make them FAR less interesting.
Men and women looked at this man, who tries to sexually harass a woman...and think...Let's make him that girl's stepfather, have him marry her mother , and give her a second half-sister....and then kick her mom out of the tribe she left...for plot.
And they call that fixing RWBY....oh, and they call him Shiloh instead of Shay D. Mann...because if you're going to make a "Fixing RWBY" show with "Faunus heat cycles" and "girls in bath scenes"...you better make creeps like this have a different name.
The fact that people enjoy this would be disturbing...but Redo of Healer is considered a popular show...that shows how disgusting the members of "Sketchy Huntsmen are."
Did I ever mention that they keep salem from appearing in v3, v4, and v5 till the very end? And they basically design her, the queen of grimm, with a bellydancer outfit.
Because if you're drawing a woman in a fix-it fanfic, you gotta sexualize her for the sake of your viewers who accuse LGBT ships of being fanservice.
There is no fix-it fanfic in rwby that isn't a piece of garbage.
