y/n smiled lightly leaning against Changbin as they waited in line for their turn to ride the ferris wheel.
Changbin smiled watching the younger male, the cold wind had turned the tip of his nose red and his cheeks were flushed. Changbin had never seen the younger like that, there was a sparkle in his eyes and his smile hadn’t faltered since they had got in line for the ferris wheel.
This was going to mark the end of their first official date and Changbin was jittery and excited. He kept on shivering and he was pretty sure it wasn’t because of the cold.
When they had climbed into the small open ferris wheel cart y/n sat next to him their bodies pressed together and their fingers intertwined.
They sat in silence until they had made it a distance into the sky.
“you know, I’m expecting you to kiss me when we get to the top, right?” Changbin startled, he had been observing the carnival as it got farther and farther away, now he turned to look at y/n.
“I mean I was thinking of it, I just didn’t want to do it in case it made you uncomfortable.” Changbin replied after a minute of shocked silence.
y/n laughed, airy and carefree, “Well this is me telling you that it is more than okay.”
Changbin nodded, he could feel a blush crawling its way up his neck, when he looked away from y/n’s smile he could see that they were almost at the top.
He wasn’t sure where all the nerves came from, he had been so excited for this before but now that y/n had assured him it was fine and it wasn’t just an idea in his head he could feel the anxiety eating away his confidence.
When they did get to the top of the Ferris wheel came to a gentle stop, a look down showed people climbing off one of the carts, Changbin looked at y/n who was smiling at him.
There was no pressure, just a silent expectation, a wish that Changbin was going to grant.
Changbin smiled as well, he pulled his hand away from y/n’s and placed it on the others cheek.
He leaned forward and kissed him, chaste and soft, barely the brush of lips against lips.
He moved to pull away but y/n’s hand moved to the back of his head and he was pulled bag in, deeper this time, more desperate, the moment y/n pulled away Changbin wanted to cry in protest.
When he looked at the younger, the sparkle in his eyes was still there and his smile ever present had changed into a satisfied one, the smile of a man who tasted gold and wanted to keep it all to himself.
It made Changbin feel like he was the most precious person in the entire world.
They sat in silence after that, their fingers intertwined once again and their hearts filled to satisfaction, they had drifted closer together at this point, y/n glued to changbin’s side, head on Changbin’s shoulder.
When they disembarked Changbin let go of y/n’s hand, it could not have been more than a few seconds but the younger latched onto him the second they were in more open space.
y/n’s pout was childish, Changbin laughed, it made y/n pout more and Changbin laughed more.
y/n was joking about something while they walked, headed for the car to go home.
They stopped walking for a second when a strong gust of wind blew across the parking lot, Changbin felt y/n shiver next to him.
Carefully pulling his hand out of y/n’s Changbin slipped of his jacket, he placed it on y/n’s shoulders with a light blush dusting his cheeks.
“Thank you.” y/n was looking at him the same way he’d looked at him after they kissed it made Changbin feel special and amazing all over again.
Changbin nodded and turned away the light blush growing into a searing hot rush of blood.
y/n took Changbin’s hand again and they continued walking in silence, Changbin could still see the happy smile on y/n’s face.
This date was the best he had been on in his entire life.
