Laughing bitterly, Skye shook her head in response to the question. Jesse never got it, he never would and Skye had always been to weak to stand up to him. “You always ask such stupid questions, Jess. Don’t you get it? I see right through you, you can’t keep lying to me any more,” she began, finally turning to face in his direction, yet not looking away from the floor. “It is killing me. I know exactly what you’re doing when you’re out at night,” she spat, anger seeping in to her tone. “It’s over now, Jesse. You’ve wasted everything. There’s no going back,” she said, a certain finality to her voice. Tearing her gaze away from the ground, she looked up and directly in to his eyes. “You can leave now.”
