Shane often played guinea pig for Donny’s newest recipes. He was honest about how they tasted and sometimes would throw out a suggestion or two. Mostly he put up with it for the free food and so Donny wouldn’t bug him relentlessly about it. With a wide array of food in front of him Shane wasn’t sure where to start. Everything looked, and smelled, delicious and Shane was sure it’s taste would be as well. “There’s a shit ton of food here, Don. You think I’m a bottomless pit or something?”

“Have you noticed it’s already getting darker out earlier? It’s a good thing.” It’s not that Shane hated summer weather or anything. He enjoyed the warmth of the sun on his skin but autumn meant children were back at school. “That means the god awful children that live near me will be going indoors earlier and making less noise. Fucking gremlins..”
