Elsa was one of Claude’s closest and only friends outside of the group who worked for Adam, and while he loved spending time with her, he could tell that she was a little bit lost. It wasn’t like he wasn’t used to it; he saw a bit of Adam in her, in the way she struggled to find who she was both by herself and around others. “You’ve been awfully quiet. You know, not that you’re the mosts talkative person I know, but more than usual. I’m always here to listen if something’s up,” he told her, but he was sure she already knew. He gave her a sympathetic smile, giving her a slight nudge of his knee as they sat across from each other at a cafe table. “Or, I could tell you all about Blaise’s current escapades. That always seems to lighten my mood. Though, sometimes it can get quite depressing, thinking about how ... opposite my romantic endeavors are,” he remarked. Claude didn’t like to think about his dating life very often at all, but he would make an exception to lighten the mood.
