Fox 8 by George Saunders is a beautiful, funny & sad short story. I wasn't a fan of the fox's poor spelling at first but it grew on me. But the spare illustrations by Chelsea Cardinal really brought this to life for me. Her simple black & white illustrations with the occasional red for the foxes are wonderful.
