[SPOILERS] Stardust Crusader Kakyoin Headcanons
Yeah so this is based off of if Kakyoin DIDN'T die😭
Holly once made him homemade cherry ice cream for him instead of a birthday cake and he thought it was the present.
Holly actually got him cherry candies from the US and made him some cherry pastries as his present.
I don't know why but I feel like his parents were extremely mentally abusive and slightly physically abusive towards him.
Holly found out and went BATSHIT on his parents, no one, not even Joseph had ever seen her in a state like that.
That's how he ended up living with Holly and Jotaro.
Once he hits legal drinking age he's definitely gonna be a red wine kind of guy, he's gonna like cocktails too.
Cherry Boi likes rap and screamo metal, I kid you not he would listen to that, everyone else thinks he listens to more toned down stuff like jazz or classical, but NAHHHH.
He once spent an hour one morning looking for his cherry earrings and freaking out cause he couldn't find them till he wandered out to get his breakfast and told Holly what was wrong when she asked why he looked so sad.
Jotaro had a fit laughing, definitely fell out of his chair and was rolling on the floor laughing, and Holly was definitely chuckling a little too.
Kakyoin was definitely hurt that they were laughing at him for being upset over his earrings until Holly pointed to her own ear.
He had fallen asleep wearing them and never realized.
He has post traumatic nightmares from his first encounter with DIO.
I do think DIO may have taken advantage of Kakyoin when he was under his control, and Kakyoin fully remembers all of it.
That's what the majority of the nightmares are about.
After particularly bad nightmares he can still hear DIO talking to him when he's awake.
This occurrence often causes him to scream or sob loudly.
When that happpens Holly and Jotaro both go rushing to his room to comfort him.
On those nights he often makes a small bed in Jotaro's room.
Platonically tho, I'll do some Jotakak headcanons later.
He shares cherries with Hierophant Green.
Hierophant hugs him on the nights with the less severe nightmares.
He definitely has depression that comes and goes in bouts.
He sometimes scratches away parts of his skin in acts of self harm and when Holly or Jotaro catch him doing it or grimacing when his coat brushes against his skin they always help him bandage it up and they just hold him.
When they're holding him he's often sobbing about how he's sorry. They just tell him that they'll always be there if he needs them.
Whenever he does anything slightly wrong he freaks out cause he remembers being punished for even breathing too loudly when he was working for DIO. He had been smacked and on harsher occasions shamed and just left on the floor for any passing people to see.
He once broke a plate while no one else was home and he had a really bad panic attack.
He was curled up hyperventilating in the corner of a closet for an hour before Holly and Jotaro got back from getting groceries.
They walked in and saw the shattered plate and thought someone had broke in.
Kakyoin had never told them about what happened with DIO at this point, so when Jotaro couldn't find him and he thought someone kidnapped him, it angered him so much his that voice was fairly harsh as he was yelling Kakyoin's name, and they only found him because when Jotaro ran past the closet he was in he got scared enough that he ended up crying loud enough for Jotaro to hear.
That's when Kakyoin told them what happened.
Holly ended up sitting with Kakyoin sobbing into her shoulder before Jotaro finished bringing in the groceries and joined Holly in comforting him.
Polnareff and Iggy (they went to the store together and Iggy nosed around until he found it) got him a cherry shaped pillow while he was recovering from becoming a donut.
Avdol got him a cherry plush.
Jotaro and Holly made him a red hat with a green puff on the top that looks like a cherry.
He now has a SHIT TON of cherry themed stuff.
