Okay so i absolutely *adore* your cyare pregnancy stuff and I ask you. How is omega with the girls? How is she during the first pregnancy? Is she smushing her face to the belly and obsessing over the baby kicks?

Ori’vod Omega is wonderful with the girls. She loves being a big sister, truly. Her energy is unyielding and there’s an endless treasure trove of fun that comes with all these babies. She’s loving and gentle with every one and she’s a big help to Cyare and Hunter’buir.

She’s really excited during the first pregnancy. She wants to learn all the ins and outs. When Cyare’s bump starts to form, she likes to do “checkups” on her with a little stethoscope (mentions of this in a past fic) and then report her findings to Hunter. XD I think her background as a medical assistant plays a big factor in her overall proactiveness. And yes, she’s got her face smushed to Cyare’s belly every chance she gets.

It’s ease for an only child to experience feelings of loneliness and isolation with the arrival of a new sibling; Mom and Dad are suddenly more busy, their attention is wholly on the baby, they’re settling in and adjusting and things can be tense, and sometimes the oldest child fades into the background in all this.

To ensure that doesn’t happen, Hunter and Cyare make it a point to spend as much time with Omega as possible and they talk with her about it beforehand, how it will be when baby gets here, that way she is eased into the transition and she feels more secure in her love and worth. No matter how exhausting the day has been with new baby, one of them will always check in with her, see how she’s feeling, have her tell them something nice about her day, just hold her for a little while, reassure her. Every child needs reassurance and Hunter and Cyare do their best to give her that—likewise, parents also need reassurance in that they’re doing right by their kids.
