“Ireland just discovered that a lot of their animal feed was contaminated with dioxin. as a result they have placed a recall on all of the pork processed in Ireland. the dioxin levels discovered in the pork fatty tissue were 80 to 200 times higher than legally allowed. this can cause major health issues for people that consume the meat. as I have begun to approach the bottom of the bag, one of my young birds died and the rest of my chickens have began rejecting the laying pellets. I would expect this to happen with the bottom of the bag if the feed was contaminated with dioxin. because dioxin is a halogen and halogens are heavier than air, it tends to concentrate in the bottom of wherever it is accumulated. hence, I am testing the bottom of the bag.”
