Smiling softly, Christian gently cups your cheek. His blue gaze filled with nothing but warmth as he speaks. The deep baritone of his voice interlaced with adoration. “Loving you hurts because I can’t spend every moment with you. Only my waking hours gives me that privilege and it’s still not enough. It will never be enough as long as it means I can’t have you.” Pausing, he wraps his arms gently around your waist. Pulling you closer as he drops his forehead to yours. “Loving you hurts because it will always mean I can’t have you during the only time I could.”
