So I girded myself today and watched To End All Wars again as that was the other dvd I already owned that had Kiefer Sutherland in it. I put off watching it as I remember it being a hard film to watch. And it was. But an important film to watch. A war film that isn’t a war film but the story of allied pows during the Second World War who were forced into building of the Burma railway.

Brilliant acting from all, main leads and background characters. A film that makes you think about not just history and what happened but how we deal with circumstances that you can not even start to comprehend.

Tough to watch but recommended if you can.
