Lagging - Moser Giro Shimano 105 7v
This blog is going slow. For some reason I didn’t want to share the newest developments of my on going project before it hit a stop. It’s not like I’ve been idle in this time though. For instance I got myself deeper into the vintage bike’s world by purchasing a F. Moser from the very early ‘90s. I’m not completely sure about all the details regarding the bike, but I will list all the datas I know and maybe someone will bring in some extra input later on!
The frame is made out of Oria CSS 52 steel and it says it’s a “Special build frames GIRO”. It sports a complete 105SC 7 speed group, including steering set, bottom braket, hubs, brakes and pedals (not shown in pictures but I have both click and cage pedals for it). The wheels consist of Galli Giro rims and Shimano 105 hubs. According to the years of produciton of this specific Shimano group the bike must have been built between 1990 and 1992. The rims had a much longer production span. The saddle it’s a Vetta 200 in black leather. Tyres are new, Vittoria Zaffiro 23c, very much needed and put in during a recent service that the bicycle has undergone.
