TBT: 28 years ago U-TRAX label boss DJ White Delight and @aarsmanpapresents organized their third GURU party (Greater Underground Resistance of Utrecht). It was the first GURU party with live acid and techno performances. One of the bands announced on this flyer was Voltage Control aka @mindtheapp aka Sp@sms. However, between the creation of the flyer and the party, Arno teamed up with DJ Zero One to form a new band, Random XS. For this inaugural Random XS gig, Arno created a new track called Titanic. And this old school acid track has now finally been released (along with a vicious techno remix by DJ Zero One, also from 1991) on the first Sp@sms release in 23 years, the Titanic EP, available through @triplevisionrecorddistribution and our Bandcamp page (link in bio). Two weeks ago, Arno Peeters was interviewed by DJ White Delight for our Quite Deep Radio show on @strandedfm, situated directly next door to the then jazz club where the GURU party took place. So we're #fullcircle once again. .-.-. #dutchdancepioneer #classicacid #vintagetechno #oldschool #liveperformance #spasms #voltagecontrol #utreglegends #90smusic https://www.instagram.com/p/B4A5JrLgyqS/?igshid=y7tg94b48jvh
