Itineraries in Exploring Denali National Park & Preserve by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: A view looking to the south while walking the Wonder Lake Trail while taking in an amazing setting with Denali and other snowcapped peaks of the Alaska Range. I did some initial post-processing work making adjustments to contrast, brightness and saturation while playing around as I learned how to work with DxO PhotoLab 3 that I’d recently purchased after moving away from Capture NX2.

Mount Rundle Framed by Nearby Trees by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: With the nearby trees, grassy meadow and then Mount Rundle off in the distance, this reminded me of a painting one might find in a store. One of the things I liked best about this image was the greens of the foreground and then blues of the mountains and skies. Greens down below and blues above in the image.

I Found Some Sweet Moments Living Day by Day in Alaska! (Black & White, Denali National Park & Preserve) by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: While standing along the Park Road with a view looking to the south across Wonder Lake with the wind causing gentle ripples across its surface. Beyond that was a few ridgelines, but the ultimate for this setting was the snowcapped peaks of Denali and the Alaska Range with blue skies and wisps of clouds! I did some initial post-processing work making adjustments to contrast, brightness and saturation while playing around as I learned how to work with DxO PhotoLab 3 that I’d recently purchased after moving away from Capture NX2. A conversion to black & white using Silver Efex Pro 2 where I made some adjustments to color filters to bring out a much richer tonal contrast for the final image.

I pulled back on the focal length to include some of the nearby forest and a portion of a ridgeline to add to the wilderness setting in this part of the national park.

Big Badlands Overlook and Blue Skies with Clouds (Black & White, Badlands National Park) by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: A conversion to black & white using Silver Efex Pro 2 where I used some color filters to bring out a much richer tonal contrast across the badlands as well as darker skies to contrast the wisps of clouds for the final image.
