Day 42 – I am close-hauled… 🌊 When the wind is in your face, the only way to move forward is to find the edge of the wind and use it. You can always turn around and sail with the wind, but to get to your destination, you need to learn to be ‘close-hauled.’ ‘Close-hauled’ is that line on of the edge of the ‘No Go Zone’ that allows you to sail towards the wind. Cross into the ‘No Go Zone’ and you stall. If you stay out of ‘close-hauled,’ you end up taking the long way around. 🌊 This is a scary point; when the boat is closest to its max potential while being closest to it point of failure. Day 41 – I am Hungry for people that are hungry about being hungry for growth… 🌊 Almost 50-minutes into the battle, this is what came up next to the boat... What a catch; 8’ 1” Bull Shark. Of course, we released it once we unhooked the fishing-line. From there, we went our separate ways. We planned to make another snoring dive that day but for some reason, nobody wanted to go in the water… 🌊 When I looked at this picture I thought of many lessons. But this is what came to my mind first… 🌊 • I am ‘friendly’ with people that sample personal development, like little hors-d’oeuvres at a party. • I am ‘enjoying’ people that collect and taste books on growth like rare wines. The more dust on the book the better the book. • I am “respectful” of those that load-up their plates with the tools of growth but lack the appetite to consume it. • I am ‘loving’ adding value to people that have a pallet for adding value to themselves. 🌊 But the next level is the level that brings out my desire to share my passions. Day 40 – I am excited by the possibilities… 🌊 Continued from yesterday. We are about 40 minutes into this event. We lifted anchor and began chasing what was on the end of my fishing line with the boat. It is running from the boat and I cannot reel it in. My arms are about to fall off. Then it hit the surface with a big splash… but, from this distance, we could not tell what we had… or, what had us. 🌊 All I knew was, it’s bigger than anything I had ever caught before… 🌊 What an awesome feeling. When the possibilities are unimaginable.
