The original sketch and the second part of this drawing that I was working on.

I finished the main drawing at the start of this month since I anticipated being busy to formally sign up for the Secret Santa later on. Well uh I ended up signing up anyways because I like drawing these two way too much lmao.

Though since I signed up, I felt that I shouldn't finish the second part for the sake of my time and energy. But I thought they were cute so I'm putting them here.

As an extra treat for anyone here, have a cone being pushed over.

Hope you're still in the festive mood~ Looking at your prompts (ShinShi/Post-antidote, Domestic Fluff, Warm & Cozy), I thought of a comfy Christmas morning where Shinichi and Shiho invite the Detective Boys over to celebrate!

If you're curious, here's my initial sketches planning out everything! It all pretty much stayed the same.

When I think of post-antidote ShinShi I like to imagine they still keep in touch with the Detective Boys. The kids are an intuitive bunch, so I'm sure they'd figure out who they are after the antidote.

I also wanted to consider the idea of a Christmas where Shiho is finally with people she'd consider family. I hope I got bit of her joy across~ ^-^

Remember, the prompt Golden is a guide, not a firm rule.

If Gold is not giving you the spark, you can always go for Cold, or some other Festive Theme that gives you more inspiration. And then tack on a Golden Bell or Ribbon.

What makes this a Secret Santa?

If you've ever done a school or workplace Secret Santa, the format is generally every one picks a name from a hat and secretly gets that person a gift within a budget.

There's no budget here. Each participant will be secretly told who their gift is for and given a giftee specific prompt. When you're ready to share it, you alert your giftee and go "Ta-da! I'm your Secret Santa, here's your gift." 🎁 🧑‍🎄

Ideally we'd like this shared publicly here on Tumblr and on the discord server. 🫶 More cake for everyone!

Sounds great. How do I sign up?

Sign-ups are restricted to members of our (link in bio) Discord Server, for ease of management. You will need to remain there for the length of the event, for weekly check-ins and so your Secret Santa can deliver your gift!

I will share the form there and start taking sign-ups between the 1st and 15th of December.

What's the timeline?

✍️ Sign-ups: 1st to 15th December

🗒️ Giftee allocation: 20th of December

🦌 FANDOM SANTAS DELIVER: 25th to 31st of December

🎅 Secret Santas deliver: 1st to 31st of January

Wait. What are FANDOM SANTAS??

Fandom Santas are those wanting to make Christmas gifts for the fandom without signing up for the exchange. We've got a theme for you lovely wonderful people:

This will help the giftees await their Secret Santa, as we've voted to have an extra long delivery window this year. 🙏

What if I can't make a gift after all?

If you're signed up as a Secret Santa, remember, we're giving you a whole month to deliver in. From the point you're given the prompt, I will be checking in with you weekly as a reminder and to provide help if need be.

We will have at least one pinch-hitter, for those who find themselves dealing with month-long irl fires to put out, but ideally we'd like to not need them. 🫡 You got this!

What should the gifts be?

Same as with CoAi Week and our other events, most fanworks are accepted. 🫶 Giftees will be indicating with their prompt for Santa if they have a preference in type of work, but generally well try and match that with the type of work the Secret Santa prefers making. 💕

For clarity, categories are Fan Art, Fan Fiction or Any (includes fan made music, music videos, mood boards, etc...) — most participants do Fan Art or Fiction.

We ask though that secret Santas put in extra effort for their piece - NO GenAI or edits if fanworks by others, make it personal. Show off your skills! Make it something you'd love to receive if you were in their shoes. 🤩

Wait, I need to provide a prompt?

Yes, a prompt is to help your Santa give you something you'll enjoy, whether or not they know you well. Examples include popular tropes like "coffee shop AU", details like "post-canon" or "first date", it could reference a specific canon moment (movie 6) or even mundane things like a colour (see our fandom Santa prompt "Golden") or an object (say "bowtie").

I recommend giving up to 3 options for your Santa to go from. ☃️
