A Coastal storm is impacting Maine this morning, bringing rain and strong winds to several areas in the Northeast. Alongside the rainfall, cooler temperatures are being felt throughout much of the eastern U.S. A warm front stretching across the High Plains is generating showers and thunderstorms from Kansas to the Dakotas. Today, severe weather is expected to develop in parts of the southern plains, with significant conditions likely continuing into the weekend across Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. Weather Decision Solutions is monitoring a developing low-pressure system along the eastern seaboard, which is expected to intensify into a significant coastal storm. This storm will bring powerful winds with gusts reaching up to 60 miles per hour along the New England coast, extending all the way up to Maine, accompanied by heavy rainfall in the region. In the mountainous areas, snowfall is anticipated, with up to 8 inches possible over some of the higher peaks in the northeastern U.S. Meanwhile, rain will persist across parts of the Eastern Great Lakes, the Ohio Valley, and into the Appalachians and Mid-Atlantic regions, with temperatures remaining below normal. Additionally, the Pacific Northwest will see more rain as the next system approaches and is set to deliver further rain and thunderstorms across the country this weekend. 🌧️⚡️ #WeatherUpdate #CoastalStorm #NewEnglandWeather #HeavyRain #HighWinds #Snowfall #NortheastWeather #EasternSeaboard #PacificNorthwest #Thunderstorms #BelowNormalTemps #WeatherMonitoring 🌧️⚡️

At least we managed to squeeze out a nice Sunday ahead of two weather systems, both of which will have minimal impact here. The first is a cold front and clouds from that have moved in. Then we have the low in the Deep South that is producing widespread severe weather and heavy rain from East Texas to North…

Our storm system is now offshore and slowly pulling away to the northeast however the flat nature of the wave has us struggling for improving weather conditions today. Lots of clouds remain as do the rather raw conditions. We will see winds gradually bend around to the north and then the northwest late today and tonight and that…

Freeze Advisory Overnight into Friday Morning Cold Rain Follows Into Saturday
We are in a very chilly weather pattern for mid April. We are seeing some sunshine this afternoon and that is helping to take the sting of the cold out of the air. We will see highs reaching the 50s but remember that we should be into the 60s on average for this time of year and we continue to run 10 or more degrees…

Weather Conditions Continue To Slowly Improve No Showers Until Tuesday
This was a bit of a strange day in that the areas from New Jersey to New England that got rain yesterday started off with clouds but went partly to mostly sunny for the afternoon. The opposite was true for areas south of Southern New Jersey that had sunshine most of yesterday but were fighting cloud cover today. Both areas…
