I was wondering if you could tell us what kinds of hair- and eyecolors will be available for MC?

Hii, dear Anon! Oh I absolutely could!

Hair Colour

Soo Luxendians are well known for their vibrant jewel-like hair colours. If they are born lucky, their hair have a somewhat shine-like trait under the sun. Since MC is a Luxendian, you'll be able to choose from shades such as:

Red (rare)

Orange

Golden

Green

Blue

Purple

Pink

and White

Or to put it simply, pretty much any colour except shades of black, brown, and dark grey. Those darker hair colours are unique characteristic of Calligians (aka Mallory and friends) 😆

Oh btw, MC cannot go bald (baldness is reserved for criminals in COC's world). The shortest hair length MC can have is just an inch above the shoulder. However, this "short" length is extremely unpopular among nobility. Nobles prefer to keep their hair at least few inches below the shoulder, since hair is considered sacred in Luxendis society.

Eye Colour

Eye colours are a littlee different. There's only three restriction: MC cannot have red, gold, or silver eyes. Other than that, you're free to choose between darker or lighter shades! In the demo, you'll be able to pick from two categories:

Dark shades (dark green, dark blue, orange, brown, black, etc)

Light shades (light green, light blue, light grey, light pink, etc)

Generally speaking, Luxendians tend to have darker eyes while Calligians tend to have lighter ones.

But since light-coloured eyes tend to be inherited more strongly, they become quite common among Luxendians with foreign ancestry—even generations later. Sooo if your MC has light coloured eyes, even StrangerNPCNumber8 passing by in the street may immediately guess there's a foreign ancestor somewhere in your family tree ehe!

And yes these choices aren't purely cosmetic. They'll each come with their own little flavour text and each strengths and weaknesses too 👀

A lot of people at Court know about this nobleservant who serves in Concubine Seneca's Retinue. A lot of people outside the Court, however, don't even know of his existence. Lucky you, I happen to know him. Ares Portasy is someone that I believe worth knowing for—or at the very least, worth remembering. So listen, my dear, for perhaps this little piece of information may prove valuable once you set foot at the Court.

All right, now take a look at this portrait I sketched for you.

Ares Portasy

The Nobleservant of Jasmine Pavilion

A second cousin of the current Patriarch of House Portasy of Northern Region. I don't know the exact year he arrived at the Court, but I believe it has not yet been five years. Perhaps three or four years ago? Nevertheless, he has adapted splendidly for a small country noble. Watchful dog, that one. Though I do wonder, how viciously this nobleservant can bite when watching alone is no longer enough?

Oh well, I don't think we shall find that out anytime soon. After all, the Concubine's power remains as strong and well protected, which means his position is secure as well. And talking about position, you'd most likely see Ares whenever his Mistress is present at Court functions. Just look for a tall and lean young man who always trails a few steps right behind the Concubine's High Servant and you should be golden.

Hmm? What if somehow you fail to spot him in his usual place? Well just simply look for another white-haired figure who often wears his long, silky hair in a high ponytail and carries a rare black onyx pendant. Chances are, you have found your man. There can't be that many sun-kissed golden-skinned men with exact traits like those wandering around the Court, can there?

If you wish to be even more certain, you can look at his eyes. They are the colour of deep black, yet somehow seem to shine beneath the light—though that can be tricky. So a more reliable trait is the way his eyes crinkle into little crescent moons whenever Ares smiles.

Not a difficult thing to notice, no? Especially if you also manage to catch his scent too. There's always a hint of jasmine lingering in his wake—a rather large giveaway considering his affiliation. However if you focus closely, beneath it lies something a bit softer. Camellia. Such a lovely combination if you manage to smell it, assuming your nose is refined enough to tell the difference, that is.

Hmm yes, he is quite fetching, I dare say. Young and fit and bright. Not involved in any official romantic relationship either, as far as I know. Perhaps he truly intends to remain unmarried for the rest of his life and dedicate himself to eternal servitude at the Court. Or perhaps, there already a secret someone holding the key to his heart?

Everyone has heard of Concubine Seneca Jestely. But not everyone has the pleasure of seeing Her Grace up close with their very own eyes. So listen closely, my dear, for you must remember these traits without fail. Can't have you embarrassing yourself the very moment you set foot at the Court, yes?

The Jasmine Concubine

A close niece of the current Matriarch of House Jestely of Western Region. Seneca arrived at Court when she was 20 of age. It's not long after that she earned Their Radiant Majesties's favour and be bestowed the title of Concubine. She's the only concubine at the Court and is blessed with the King's great affection. Many believe she is the King's truest love as well—but please, do refrain from saying that in front of any Northern nobles.

Up to this day, she remains an important member of the Royal Family with her influence shows not even little sign of waning. Her presence perhaps felt most strongly during parties, celebrations, and grand festivities. Seneca absolutely adores a good party and everyone know it. As such, she is one of the most prominent figure at any social gathering, so you, my dear, will undoubtedly encounter her once you finally begin attending Court function yourself.

Aside from her magnificent royal attire and elaborate hair ornaments—which even the most oblivious fool would struggle to miss—her long and wavy white hair remains the easiest way to identify her. Nobody else in the Royal Family possesses hair quite like that, after all. Some describe the colour as pure as snow, though unfortunately I can't confirm that as I never see such peculiar weather.

Hmm? What if somehow you fail to notice that lovely hair? Well then, just simply look for the petite woman standing at the very center of the dance floor. Found her? Now check the eyes. Make sure you're looking at dark green eyes that stand out beautifully against honey beige skin.

When all those features match and you manage to get close enough, another trait that unique to Seneca reveal itself in a scent of jasmine. It certainly enhances her sensual aura, I must admit. That somewhat sweet yet definitely intoxicating fragrance seems to follow her wherever she goes. Understandable really, considering the jasmine oil she favours so much upon her skin. Or with how she soaks her shawls with those flowers as well. Or even with how clusters of jasmine buds woven directly into her hair.

Truly befitting the epithet of the Jasmine Concubine, don't you agree?

Well then, I pray you find her without trouble and perhaps be blessed with a favour or two. Just do not become too enchanted by her, so much so that could makes your heart thumping madly for her.

I couldn't bear to see your poor little heart suffer the torment of unrequited affection, could I?

So I just finished reading the demo and I love it. I love the flow and everything. I love the flow and everything. Is Enigma first part of the story? Bc it felt like it and I feel like we are the light.

I wanna romance/fling with Ares but I always wanna have my romance first with Mallory 😅. Mostly bc I like the idea of Mc having no clue/shy/flustered mess when it comes to romance. Also I really hope nothing happens to Ares...but I feel like something will...Also the convo we have with them/foreshadowing of what will happen.

I do have a small question will we be able to have white hair? was planning on doing black but after seeing what Mallory looks like...I don't wanna look like twins....I usually go grey eyes lol

Yes, you absolutely can! In fact, you cannot pick black or brown or other "common" colours for MC's hair. Luxendians are known for their vibrant hair, so think of pink, purple, green, red, blue, yellow, and of course, the enigmatic white~~

And if you do choose white, you'll also get some flavour text involving your MC, Ares, and the Mistress as army of white haired hottie haha!

Ok soo my dear Anon, a second cousin is someone who shares the same great-grandparent as you! Or another way to think about it is they are the grandchild of your grandparent's sibling.

Hello! I've a question! Since foreign light colored eyes are the dominant one, what about hair? Is the bright more dominant than dark? Or is the calligian dark hair also the dominant one?

Hello there, dear Anon! Oh that's a good question!

Both Luxendian bright hair and the Calligian dark hair are considered dominant. Soo which hair colour a child inherits depends on which side's blood proves stronger at that particular moment of creation 😆

Or as Luxendians would say, which blood is purer ✨

I know you've probably answered this question before but will we be able to choose mc's body type and will that change any text based on the body type chosen like a chubby mc easily picking someone like Mallory up. Also can we know the names of mc's siblings you mentioned them before but you never told us their names.

I actually haven't answered the first part of your question before, no 😆

1. Will we be able to choose MC's body type?

Well my dear Anon, whenever I add customisation option, I want it to serve a purpose throughout the story. Every appearance customisation is there because it becomes relevant somewhere lateerr on.

Up until now, I unfortunately haven't found a meaningful narrative purpose for body type customisation that Im happy with 🤔 So unless I do, it safe to say there are no current plan to add it. I'm sorry but I'll leave that particular detail to your own headcanon!

Oh since we're talking about appearances, I do have height customisation planned! You'll be able to choose between:

short, average, tall, and very tall.

These are based on Luxendian standards tho (Calligians are generally taller). Thus a height that considered short in Luxendis would likely be seen as very short in Calligian standards, while a tall Luxendian would be roughly average in their eyes, and so on~~

2. Can we know the names of MC's siblings?

Why of course you can! And not just the siblings, even the parents too 😉

I've actually already revealed 3 of the 4 siblings names along with a tiny glimpse of their personalities in these short stories here and here!
