"Bullets in the Streets and Blood." We yell at the police, but we have to bear fruit, too. I didn't want to take out my frustration on my baby girl after seeing what I saw tonight. I wanted to scream. I couldn't. Frustrated. I figured I would just dance it out once she's asleep. I suppressed it. Skye went asleep. At first, I just bounced and jumped to "Love and Inity" by Damian Marley. Gentrification is never the cure. Opportunity is. Adherents to the cure are problematic, but can be resolved by listening, loving, giving and getting out of the way of those who want to help. I then searched through my playlist for Marley's new song R.O.A.R., because I was still boiling. Opportunity. Adherents. Gentrification. We yell at the police, but we have to bear fruit too, Kings and Queens. I landed upon this Cody Chestnutt gem (I posted about this song awhile ago). The song speaks for itself. The gangs behind these gangs are the same gangs behind the police committing these crimes of police brutality. We have to bear our own fruit and not wait for them to plant a single seed.
