I made him RAINBOW and i made him SPARKLE!!! It took me 4 months to complete this and 25 hours on the canvas, but the wait was so worth the end result.

@riseleon Tumblr’s being weird and won’t let me do anything with this Ask, so I’m answering your question like this—

He can, yes! His Flight Packs took a long time to perfect, and he’s still figuring out the best model and calculations. It’s easy to make one for himself because he has a smooth back and shoulders, so plenty of space to work with.

Leon doesn’t have that. He has his fins along his spine, so making a Flight Pack for him would take more time to try and narrow it down and work around the webbing. And considering Donnie doesn’t think Leo even wants to fly, why would he make it a priority?

It’s something on his list, if only to challenge himself, but Donnie’s in no rush, especially until he perfects his own pack. ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

i had NO IDEA i needed your icarus au until i saw it. i had a MAJJJJOR WINGS OF FIRE PHASE (ifykyk) as a kid.. and i literally drew everything and anyone i loved as a dragon. ofc that phase is gone now (however it taught me how to draw dragons so i can’t even be mad), but i stumbled on one of these posts and literally cannot get enough. makes me want to give the goobers my own dragon designs but genuinely yours are SO PERFECT. i absolutely LOVE the fact donnie and leo both don’t have wings, and that donnie doesn’t have scales either (soft shell eee) but just arghhhh leo is my fav turtle and he’s so pretty as a dragon i- i love the way you draw them all. they all have their unique little parts that fit in so well with their personalities and characters!

Bro, literally same, except it was the HTTYD book series for me. I drew so many dragons growing up because of those books, they’re my everything now 😭

Donnie does not like boops unless he is given advaned warning and he grants permisson for the boop to occur. However Mikey is delighted by them as is Leo. Raph is confused when the happen out out nowhere but loves them especially when they come from members of his family!

Surprise boops for Donnie means risking loosing your hand.

Mikey will happily take them and will boop you back, either with his hand or his own nose. Physical affection ftw!

Leo can get annoyed by them if he’s not in the mood… but otherwise finds them funny, and especially loves it if it turns into scritches!

Raph is the second most booped of the group (Mikey is first obviously), but only because he’s almost always caught off guard by them. He’s a tall boy! People can’t usually reach his snoot!! So when they do, he’s taken by surprise, but delighted all the while.

So obvi curse of icarus leo is engaging in dangerous behaviors to catch a shadow of a feeling. Of something he's been longing for his entire life, I can only see this ending with him getting hurt.

Since he engages in these behaviors when he's alone, who finds him when his portal inevitably fails? They aren't 100% reliable I'm sure. Also I'm sure a fall like that would do some serious damage, would he even be conscious? Which brother is most likely to notice he's missing? Who will pick up the pieces?

Hey! I love your dragon!au so much! Its so cool and i love the angst with it! I have a few things for it!

1. Possible name for the au since you are still taking suggestions it sounds like: the curse of Icarus au or coi. Yknow, pronounced like the fish?

I just though it fit with leos intense yearning to fly, mixed with his falling/portal flying which has great angst potential btw, you been hinting at it and im so excited to see!

2. You mentioned in an ask before that donnie hasnt made a pair of wings for leo yet partly because of his fins and partly because leo seems perfectly content not to have any

So when the fam finds out JUST how much leo has been jealous and wishing so bad he could join his brothers, how responsible would donnie feel? Especially if its found out just how hurt leo was when donnie abandoned him when he made his wings (from that one comic of donnie showing off his wings prototypes i think it was)

I feel like ive forgetton something but ive already ramble a lot, sorry! But i love your work and cant wait to see what else you come up with!

I’m thinking the AU is Dragons Rise, but like… the Title is Curse of Icarus, cuz I like both of them. If that makes sense?? Like how my other dragon AU is Dragon Balance but we all call it Tipping the Scales fhbfhbvyh.

2. Oh absolutely, Donnie will be the most guilty out of them all. He even has blueprints of possible wings for his twin, he’s just never focused too much on them for the exact reasons you said: Leo’s fins are in the way, and he just seems to not care. If Donnie knew, it would have been top priority! And when he does know, they become top priority.

Or, well, at least one of his priorities.

3. Ramble all you want! I love to read rambles, and god knows I ramble back way too much—
