What if Ingo and Emmet, renowned subway bosses, were just bees.
What if they lived in anville town in a hive made in one of the abandoned rail houses and they were b-
THEY'RE BEES. They are LITTLE GUYS. I Don't Know What To Tell You!! They Are Small And They Like Honey!! And also have to deal with an immense amount of tragedy BUT THEY'RE BEES! Look at their little antennae,, yes they are forced through the most cosmically unlikely series of tragic accidents but it's fine. They're god's favorites. Hisuian pokemon are those blessed by Arceus? Awesome. Hisuian Combee. The first one ever. Because this tiny hexagon shaped bug has won the favor of The Almighty Sinnoh Itself. What more could you possibly want.

Hi! If it would be acceptable to ask, would it be alright to request some content in real life au and Combee au? They're both tickling my brain with so much emotions rn and I have a primal need for more content because as I write this, I am also writing down sleep deprived idea for a one shot for Real life au, mostly crack treated seriously but there's also some angst and genuine crack that is baffling, even to myself.
Hi! Thanks for the ask! Sorry for taking so long to respond, I forgot to check tumblr. I've been in a huge pit of burnout lately so I don't know how much "content" I have to offer ;^; But I'm sure I could dig something up if you give me a minute.
Although, I do need to ask because I genuinely have no idea what the fuck you're talking about when you say "real life au." I don't have any AUs with that short hand and unless you mean 2D AU I have no idea what on earth you're talking about. (checks notes) ...............Mother fuck I call 2D au Real World AU on the master list didn't I. Well okay that's just me being a dumbass then, carry on 😂
Uhhhh... I might have some very old writing lying around for the bees, and I know I have some equally old stuff for 2D as well. But, if you want anything up to my current standard, you'll have to wait until my brain starts being nice to me again 🫠sorry for the wait. I unfortunately must fistfight my own brain chemistry daily

It always starts off with an innocent silly doodle, what if my favorite twins were a cute little two-member combee? And then bam. Tragic Accident Of Dramatic Proportions. They got cut near perfectly in half by space-time. They're just bees, what were they supposed to do to prevent that??

So how did ingo evolve in the Combee au after you know they got separated
Long and complicated answer! Welcome to The Plot!
After Ingo and Emmet are separated, Ingo tumbles into Hisui and is generally pretty worse for wear. He has to relearn how to fly (alone and unbalanced) and figure out how to Survive.
Thankfully for him, he manages to make some friends :] Mainly in the form of a slightly greener Laventon, fresh on the scene in Hisui and substantially newer to the field of research- A hurt combee, while still a Pokemon, is a lot easier for one man to handle and approach on his own. He takes Ingo back to his office at Jubilife and nurses him back to health- And while he sleeps one night as Laventon is burning the midnight oil, the little bee beegins to take on a glow. It encircles him like a halo, and when the light clears, he has a little red marking in the shape of a triangle on his chin.
Laventon gets to witness the first Hisuian Combee, Ingo himself rather clueless to the whole thing.
His evolution comes a lot later, after Laventon reintroduces him to the wild; Laventon takes Ingo to the Combee colony living in the Heartwood and makes sure he acclimates well enough/isn't rejected before falling back to leave him bee.
I haven't decided exactly what happens and when, but in the time Laventon spends away, Ingo evolves in an attempt to protect the colony from some kind of danger. When Laventon finds him again he's nearly unrecognizable- An alpha- A noble by right, first of his kind and dignified guard to the field's Combee.
He recognizes Ingo not by appearance but by his behavior alone- Treating Laventon with familiarity and hospitality. He's exceptionally gentle for his size and strength, and continues to get along with humans shockingly well. (As a pokemon from the future, we've seen they are broadly more domesticated.)
Is this a ramble! Yes! It is! There was no quick answer to the question :> I hope you enjoy the elevator pitch plot points. I love the bees so fuckin much man....... Why does Arceus bless Ingo? Great question. I just think he should be gods favorite. As a treat. And also it's a super awesome story device that I haven't seen many other people use- the origins of Hisuian Pokemon.

Matching little antennae! Ingo's always gets in Emmet's face. If he nibbles on it, Ingo's reception gets a little faded. (Bonus below the cut)

They both adapt and change, but for Emmet in particular there's an incredible dissonance. You've shared your thoughts with another your whole lives, and then suddenly that connection is gone. While he still has the support of his hive, there's something painful about the silence he knows shouldn't be there. Even among the telepathic hivemind, he can still notice the voice that is missing.
Ingo notices it too, but when there isn't a hive to fill the space, the emptiness is a lot more daunting and vast.
