Teacher! We Will Destroy the World
Genres + tags
Fantasy, comedy, slice of life (?)
Assassin, Magic School, Hidden identity
My description
For someone as accomplished as Number Zero the mission seemed easy enough; pose as Mr.Solo, a new magic instructor, infiltrate the school, and get rid of the target.
Only teaching is turning out to be harder than he anticipated... It certainly doesn't help that he's is in charge of the unruly, bottom-tier, second-year students of Class D. Not to mention the 'target' turned out to be 'targets'.

Hello, Griffin the Fluffy Bird!
Genre + Tags
Comedy, Fantasy, Slice of Life (?)
Modern-day Fantasy, Animals
My description
Jang Hansol, after 26 years living as the middle child, in a household with no personal space, has finally achieved independence! His own apartment all to himself! Or at least it seemed that way until he discovered his new destructive, demanding, adorable roommate.
I've gotten my bf to start watching Black Books tho, so I have that to look forward to tonight.
This has to be at least my fourth watch-through (and I hardly ever rewatch shows or movies) and it's still f**king hilarious.
I watch so much less TV/films than most people that they always have tons of shows to introduce me to, and I have nothing to offer them in return. But I have Black Books--I have never (IRL) met anyone that's watched it, other than the ppl I introduced it to. Everyone I've gotten to watch it has loved it.
(And so if you're reading this and haven't watched it, you should definitely give it a shot.)
You Laugh But It’s True
I’m probably the last person to get around to watching You Laugh But It’s True and I’m loving it but it’s also blowing my mind:
1. Trevor Noah’s mum, Patricia, needs a movie about her life.
2. Trevor Noah’s gran is a treasure.
3. White comedians literally cannot stand the success of a brilliant Black man.
4. It clearly burns them up inside.
5. Did I mention that I really want to see a movie about Patricia Noah?
6. Trevor Noah is an amazing, shining star and he deserves all of his success.
The bits with the interviews with the white comics only get worse and worse as the doco goes on, they really thought that they’d be agreed with, and it’s like watching someone swing a hatchet the wrong way, all the while complaining that it’s another man’s fault they’re getting cut.
I’m writing this about fifty minutes in and I’m angry at myself for not watching it sooner.
people,
