Comic Tropes’ recent video discussing the recent DC Comics sequel to Watchmen, Doomsday Clock, (https://youtu.be/_KzhYw_59_A) was very insightful. I particularly enjoyed the description of the Watchmen brand as a surrealist “exquisite corpse,” a project where each creator builds on something without communicating with each other; how else can you get a character serving as an allegory for nuclear weapons (Watchmen), the African American man’s experience (HBO’s Watchmen) AND the apathetic reader/creator (Doomsday Clock)?
anyways i usually stay away from comic fandom on youtube cause..... u know but y’all should sub to comictropes
