The late 90's electronica boom, let's keep calling it like that, it did happen, was not limited to just UK. There were also the contributions from the US in it with The Crystal Method being the most known among them. While it is true they are seen, like Bentley Rhythm Ace and some others, as opportunists who got big, their music does present a view of the future. Their vision of the idiom is drenched in neon lights' machinery and muscular rock tones. We could call their genre digital rock, cause it manages to fuse guitars and electronics into an intriguing blend. One of their best songs is definitely this fast-paced ballad. Trudie Reiss' vocals that are both defiant and vulnerable transform this tune's uplifting melancholy into a state of catharsis, while Scott Kirkland and Ken Jordan's playing complements her words with its wall of noise.
