this elizabeth taylor music video is absolutely one of the funniest things she's ever done. footage of an actress playing her most famous roles and getting hounded by the press... the ring clearly meant to invoke Taylor's used as the promo shot on IG... the boat in the bathtub that looks just like the one from Karma... not to mention the complete absence of Taylor herself. it's almost like she's trying to tell us that sometimes, living the showgirl's life requires the narrator to temporarily disappear from her own story.
i'm like the water when your ship rolled in that night. every bait and switch was a work of art. all my lovers are forever in their minds. you wouldn't know what i mean.

Anyone seen what Madonna's been up to this week? She has deleted all but three posts on her instagram, and the first post back was this:
Which is definitely interesting, especially because this is the same publication that Karlie Kloss has appeared topless/kissing Emily Ratajkowski in before.
But it's page 2 that caught my interest...
The narrative that is seemingly being told here is that the widow has done off her husband and is the burying the evidence so that she can be with the the nun she loves.
A day later, she posted this video of herself, presumably dressed as the widow in the back of a limousine, lighting up a cigarillo(?)
Then, a few days later, she posts a photo carousel that starts with full nip (that im shocked has been allowed to stay up tbh)
Then we have a photo with her holding a gun suggestively, kind of giving an additional point to this being her as the widow.
The next two images in the carousel are her sharing a cigarette with a nun...
Then some kissy kissy with our nun.
"I think I've seen this film before, and it was a sapphic porno"
And then her alone on a grave.
Now, Madonna has been no stranger to sapphic imagery, and I wager most people probably would peg her as bi, though I don't think she has explicitly said that... the closet has never existed around Madonna imo
But at most junctures in her career, she has been very careful to never act so gay that it would be off-putting to men, right? To only embrace being with women in the way many men find titillating...
What if this is the beginning of her officially rejecting that?
What if this is the death of the Madonna that existed to serve and delight men and the birth of the madonna who fully embraces all of her sapphic whims?
There have been an increasing number of figures around Taylor and also in music as a whole, who have recently done something that was pretty freaking gay. Sabrina kissed Jenna, Gracie with the lesbian flag on stage, Ariana and Cynthia giving sapphic codependency, Madonna kissing nuns, hell even bbn0$ has been leaning into bi speculation by cuddling and kissing other men.
Realities of tonight….she may just leave us at the restaurant
All of this flagging, all of the crazy queer mashups, all of the build up. Will this just be another KissGate, another LavenderGate?
Maybe.
That really sucks to say out loud. But I feel like I want to prep myself for that very possible reality. Maybe the plan is still bigger. Maybe it’s a doc. Maybe it’s the Rep vault tracks. Or maybe she will just continue riding the fence and playing this balancing act forever. Maybe a final reveal will come Evelyn Hugo style?
If she walks out tonight in that Blue and Gold bodysuit again I feel like that will be our answer….three nights in a row is likely for filming and that is a brand Taylor move for sure. Hopefully like last night she will give us something amazing in the surprise song set.
The bottom line….this is Taylor’s life and Taylor’s story to tell however she chooses to tell it.
Tonight I want to just enjoy the final show for whatever it is. I think there will be something special. But whether it will be connected to a Coming Out or not, I just want to enjoy this final moment of this most massive of Eras.
Don’t get me wrong…..I am still praying all my little queer dreams for something massive! For the burn it all down she’s been promising and if she does I’m going to be INSUFFERABLE lol!
