Est ce que vous voulez un update de ma vie sentimentale ? Pcq là c'est fucked up et peut être répétitif du coup, mais clairement fucked up.

I have to come up with a “grand vision” for my PhD project to present to my committee next week and I’m stuck. Why is studying conversation important and what’s a new perspective that I can bring to that table that isn’t already intuitive? What are my IVs, DVs, predictions?

It’s during times like these when I wonder if should have gone into a clinical career. Would I rather go into a clear and structured learning environment where I study for anatomy exams and work with patients, or would I rather read academic papers, write articles for journals, and wrack my brain for an interesting research question for approval, trying to work my way towards an uncertain and vague goal?
