okay so damon always put elena first no matter what. he will always choose her. for everything. i'm not dissing the stelena fandom (cuz i was team stelena at first) but like, i've noticed it's only lovey-dovey with them. they don't challenge each other, they don't get cray cray mostly because stefan won't allow it. he wont allow anything to happen to her that could result in hurting her.
