Jean froze when she heard the sound of crying. Typically she wasn’t one to pry, but she couldn’t just sit by and let someone suffer. She was much too familiar with the feeling of being left with her own suffering now. Walking backwards a few steps, she stopped in front of the room the sound seemed to be coming from. Thankfully it was cracked open just enough for her to see the person crying. Bobby…
Pushing the door open as quietly as possible, Jean made her way into the room. She had no idea what had caused someone who was typically so positive to be so broken. Whatever it was, she needed to get to the bottom of it.
Putting her hand against the wall to steady herself, the redhead stepped out of her work heels before moving towards. She sat next to him, instantly putting her arms around the man and pulling him towards her. One hard went to his hair in a comforting manner as she rested her head on his shoulder. “Hey, hey…” she cooed soothingly. “Just breathe, babe. Breathe.”
It was... Overwhelming. Honestly he’d done pretty okay when Little-Him and Baby-Jean turned up and, well... Had their heart to heart with him. Bringing up stuff he’d buried for the better part of a decade and a half and... Honestly when it was over, they’d left and Bobby was all alone, something broke. Hell if he could put a name to it but a tide of emotion came over the usually jolly mutant and he’d found the first available empty room and unable to do anything else he’d just, let the tears start flowing.
He wasn’t even sure why he was crying, happy? Sad? Overwhelmed? Maybe all three and then some, but he jumped a little when he felt two arms around him, calming he saw it was Jean and tried to get his blubbering under control.
He coughed once, tried to take a deep breath as instructed and stuttered out, “J-Jean, I need you to stay outta me head for now okay? I’ve g-got something I-” Wait... Did he want to tell her? Well, she’d walked in on him having this mini-breakdown, what else could he do. And besides... Like Little-Him said, he was tired.
