Cooper Barnes
Some pictures of Ray/Cooper that have no common theme whatsoever (arms...)
COOPER BARNES Henry Danger 1.17 "Caved In"
Another reason why Cooper Barnes is based
Sam's Diner
I am going to convince y'all why Cooper Barnes should become your Captain Marvel fancast.
Reason number one: He isn't Zachary Levi
Look, I love the movie version of the character. One second on my blog should que you in on that. But even I can't deny that the guy is very controversial and is, in my opinion, not fit to represent the virtues Shazam/Captain Marvel stands for.
Meanwhile Cooper Barnes is very outspoken on subject of human rights (joining protests, speaking about it on podcasts and social media), thus being a better representation of the values of Shazam/Captain Marvel.
Reason number two: Protectiveness
Cooper Barnes main roll is that of Captain Man in the Henry Danger series. Which was made by Dan Schneider. That name might ring a bell, as he allegedly partook in the s*xualization of the child actors on his show.
There are clips of Cooper Barnes on set where he angerly points out staff members who are doing stuff that are inappropriate, showing his protectiveness over his (child) co-stars. I can imagine he would have a similar feeling over the actor that is going to play Billy, which is important because a good relation with the two of them is necessary for the best chemistry on screen.
Also, real life superhero behavior here. Which goes back to the point I made in reason 1.
Reason number three: His experience
In his best known roll: Captain Man, Cooper plays a wacky superhero named Captain Man. The concept of Captain Marvel itself is a wacky concept in a wacky world. While I do think Captain Marvel needs to be more mature then Captain Man was, we have seen in the more mature scene's that Cooper Barnes can pull it off.
Reason number four: Me LIkey :3
That's it, I just like the actor and how he looks, and I think he could make a great Captain Marvel.
