We're pleased to announce a new round of the Corsets&Lemons anonymous k*nkmeme!

After June's incredible round we've decided to move back in the years and focus on works produced from 16th century to 18th century. (So from year 1500 to year 1799).

Yes.

That includes... Shakespeare

But also De Sade (although I don't think any of us can make up badwronger stuff than De Sade. Yes, take this as a challenge.), DeLaclos, Cervantes, Milton, Swift, Richardson, Coleridge, Defoe, Marlowe, Basile, Goldoni, Molière and more.

Here a  few FAQs!

Why are there two posts for different periods?

We wanted to make a new round for works from 16th century to 18th century but then we decided that really no one was stopping us from re-opening the old round.

Just please sort your prompts correctly! We'll move the prompts and fills ourselves if  someone makes a mistake but please help us with the moderator's workload by just taking one extra step of attention! We'll love you for it!

What kind of works are allowed and what kind of works aren't?

The main rules about works contents are:

no adaptations (musicals, movies and tv-shows and such): more about this below;

16th to 19th century works only (but this rule is flexible by a few decades). Created in that period, not set in that period. i.e. Dollars Trilogy doesn't qualify as it's a movie from the 20th century even if it's set in the 19th century;

RPF is accepted only for people who lived in the 16th to 19th century. We realize that lots of those authors (Yes Shakespeare I'm side eyeing you.) have real people in their works so we have an exception for this case. If any work created in those centuries have inside real people from different time periods you can prompt these people as well (for example Henry V lived in the 15th century but since he was written about by Shakespeare it qualifies)

For the rest we really don't have content limitation, go for the non-con, underage, incest, necrophilia, monsterfuckers in the moor, or superfluffy fluff in a victorian coffeehouse. Although certain stuff will need to be appropriately tagged (find here the rules )

I saw a prompt I really love but it's already filled!

Fill it again! The more the merrier! Just be careful in replying to the original prompt (and not the fill) and take care of using nested comments so that people don’t get confused when reading it.

Can I prompt/fill from this book that it's not originally in English?

Yes, you 100% can, please include international books into this!

The only thing is that the language of the comments and prompts and fills need to be English, otherwise we are never going to be able to moderate this event!

What about fanarts and other media?

Yes please do!

Always refer to what is allowed to be posted on dreamwidth by their Terms of Service though (and the platform you are using to post it here. You cannot upload files directly in dreamwidth comments unfortunately. You can only post a link to them.)

Can I prompt from poetry or theatre? Just prose?

No, prompt from whatever was created in the time period we are focusing on! Go crazy with it. The only limitation is the time period.

Can I fill my own prompt?

Dude we are all anon, who would know that you prompted and filled it yourself?

Also our reply is: yes, go for it, we approve of anything that produces more content!
