A lesson in lingo: The most misused words and phrases in the salon

PHRASE OF THE DAY: JUST AN INCH Fun fact: Many (if not most)  of the combs available to cosmetologists from professional stores have a little numbers on them that are actually inch markers.  That being said, lets talk about "just an inch." A lot of people say just an inch, and really don't know just how much that is. So this ends up causing a problem. Whenever my clients give me a number I show them exactly what that is using my comb. Most of the time they want more or less than what they had told me before.  You're inch probably isn't really an inch, so it's best show them using your fingers exactly how much it is you want.
