I finally remembered to take a decent photo to promote my newest sewing pattern.

It's a dress pattern with a couple different skirt options along with a sleeve option sized to fit all three RH/SH body types.

I have many more patterns I've devised, but haven't digitized yet so hopefully I'll get around to doing that soon?

Guess what time it isssss?? Sewing pattern sharing time!

I finally tidied up my curvy pants pattern to share! You can download it via this link.

Here is a preview of the pattern. I tried to make the instructions clear, there isn’t much in the way of difficult sewing for this pattern. The hardest parts involve very minor curves along the hips and waistline.

As noted in the name of the pattern, this was based on Simplicity 4702 - so I wanted to give credit to that - but it is heavily modified from it - as in none of the pieces are original and the way it sews together is different too. I basically just used the Simplicity pattern as pattern blocks and built upon them.

This pattern provides a little bit of a looser fit somewhere between skinny and straight leg. When assembled correctly, the pants allow for a full range of Made-to-Move motion. Also, due to the waistband, it doesn’t show bum when the doll is sitting. If you want a more slim fit, the inseam can easily be taken in to make for a tighter fit.

Someone asked me if I was going to share this pattern (I can’t find the ask so I am sorry I can’t tag you). Anyways, I have basically had it ready for a while now I just needed to space everything out correctly. I am not 100% happy with the neck lining, but I can’t figure out how to make it work better. It has to do with the neck opening being much smaller than the Barbie version, I did three different versions and this one worked the best. Anyways, it is functional as it stands, although it could be a little bit better.

Also, if you are machine sewing, be sure to baste or pin your sleeves in place really well, and I advise you to go slow sewing the neck lining and sleeves into place. The seams end up being really small, so take that into consideration.

The sleeve seams are actually so small I would probably hand stitch those into place going forward just to not have to deal with the headache of the machine eating your fabric/errors in stitching.

Whoa-ho-ho, who would have thought I would get out not only a pattern revision and one entirely new pattern, but a second new pattern within the same weekend! Look what being off of work for an extra day affords me lol!

Anyways though, this is a finalized adaptation of a pattern I initially created around two years ago? Originally meant for 1/6th Scale Action Figures, I decided to pursue formalizing it to fit Ken primarily (Though it will fit girl dolls too, albeit just a bit baggy.)

That being said, I think this pattern looks and reads much more complicated than it actually is. Including cutting the fabric, I can get one finished in just under an hour.

As with all my patterns, be sure to print at 100% on letter size paper (or larger). The pattern includes 1/4″ seam allowances and the PDF can be downloaded here.

Can you believe it? Back again already? A third pattern within one week?? Who is this person inhabiting my body??

Anyways, I made the necessary changes to this pattern and wrote the instructions up pretty quickly. I know they are vague and I am sorry about that, but at least the pattern is free, right?

In case you haven’t noticed, most of my patterns are pretty easy going and personally, I think about 90% of all pattern instructions don’t make sense until you are actively in progress sewing.

This includes two sleeve lengths and two skirt lengths as promised.

Good morning everyone!

After 86 years, I am finally sharing another pattern.

This pattern is a modified version of a pattern I found for free online at JanelWasHere.com. Originally it was a fitted tee pattern for the belly button Barbie body, but I took that pattern and used it to block out this one making it into a loose fit 3/4 sleeve/short sleeve tee for Curvy Barbie. I reached out to the original creator, Janel, for permission to post my modified version.

This pattern sews together much the same way my own Curvy Barbie tee pattern goes together, except that one is sewn together in the back and is also more fitted.

I have enjoyed making multiple different shirts from this pattern and I still have a stack of cut pieces to go!

I have another pattern to share! Wahoo! This time the pattern I created was inspired by Simplicity Pattern S8886. I originally saw this pattern reblogged by @dollsahoy and I thought it would look really cute in doll form.

The entire idea around this was to create a skirt with wide mouth pockets. Since I used cottons to make mine, they do not drape the same way the Simplicity Pattern would in doll scale. A heavier, knit fabric, would allow it to resemble the source material more correctly.

Anyways, the pattern includes three variations - no pockets, slim mouth pockets, and wide mouth pockets.

To try and keep everything on two pages, I had to shrink the instructions wayyy down. Sorry if they are a bit small.
