"Who's a good doggy? Is it you? Yes, it's you, You're a good boy aren't you? Yes you are, yes you are~"
travel far, gain a load;
Finally she made it, made it to the legendary disappearing island; oh how full her heart was with sudden inexplicable joy as in one swift moment she had forgotten all the misfortunes that kept following her, all the pain in her soul vanished as she stood there in front of the gates -- the veil behind which she'd find unimaginable riches. It was said that for each person the things found behind were different and Elizabeth was not going to back off, even though the thing looked somewhat ominous, she just had to know now what awaited her behind the mystical veil. Slowly she stretched her hand out and touched the cold misty matter that composed the surreal veil, wondering if she should move to pass through it or if doors would open at the touch; however nothing happened to the veil itself as unexpectedly she felt a strong pull... Damn!
The next thing Elizabeth felt was when she gained consciousness was... sand on her face and under the palms of her hands; and that was oddly weird as there was no sand when she arrived on the island but rather a beach of shingle. Carefully Lizzie stood up, her head spinning, so she could barely keep her balance, and looked around from under squinted eyes. The sun was rising, she noticed-- another thing that was oddly weird. Not only was it past mid-day on the disappearing island but the sky was covered in thick clouds; but not here, she realised finally that it deifintely was not the same land, not even the same day most likely, and the ship--
There was no sight of her ship! Where is it? Oh no! Elizabeth rushed, jumping around, trying to spot the vessel and there was obviously no sight of it anywhere. She just earned herself a new wave of dizziness by moving so abruptly. Bringing up hands to massage her temples, Lizzie gave up the idea to comprehend anything in the current mental state of hers and just dropped on the ground next to her hat. What were her riches then, a gift of transporting to a random place? Suddenly she hated the veil with all the might in her heart.
