It's amazing seeing new businesses go from strength to strength. Starting a new company takes nerve, business acumen, flair, character, and bloody hard work. 2020 has been the year of outdoor socially distanced sports and recreational activities. And king or queen of them all is paddleboarding. ❔Is it due to the anxiety melting properties of water? ❔Is it because it's so easy to pick up as a new sport? ❔Is it because there is such an amazing choice of paddleboards at a range of prices? ❔Is it because it is amongst the safest ways to spend time in nature and get exercise? 🤷 Who cares? Does it really matter? Not really. It is an undisputed fact that SUP has been one of the recreational activities of the year, and that looks set to continue well beyond 2021. At McConks, we've seen a massive increase in the number of people who have bought all round boards to 'test the water', but then within a few months decide to 'splash out' on a sup that will allow then to push their boundaries into different environments, allow them to paddle all year round, and will last for many years.
