he's famous for his love of silk cut cigarettes!! i think the joke is that he smokes low-tar/cytrel substitute because it's 'better for his health' while he fucks around doing everything that could ever possibly get a man killed.

fun fact (if i'm remembering right), jonathan sims of the magnus archives podcast also smokes silk cuts because the writer is a fan of hellblazer!

"CHEESE AND CRACKERS!!!" Jon blurted out in surprise. He quickly turned around to face his elder, before hiding the charcuterie board behind him. "N-No, sir. I would never do that!" At least not at the Manor. Uncle Barry let him do it anytime he was over. "I said 'I'm hungry' and Damian said 'Knock yourself out'."

"Water... and a lot of electricity...." he managed. The place was dark now that the power had been cut and the electrical ends stopped sparking. There was still the faint smell of singed hair and cloth and flesh from the electrocution. Not to mention sopping wet from having fallen, convulsing, into the water. "A little sun in the morning and I'll be fine again."

Clark leaned on Bruce more than he'd like to. He wanted the reassurance to actually be reassuring, but he felt exhausted right now.

☀️-- It was hardly his first time at Wayne Enterprises, it was hardly his first time interviewing Bruce. Yet every time they had to act, at least for a time, as if they did not know one another. As if they were not quite familiar and even the best of friends.

Clark soon found himself sat with Bruce, a tape recorder between them after a tour of a new developmental project for the conglomerate.

"Off the record, but honestly, this is so much easier than being sent to interview Luthor," he confided almost quietly. Gratefully.
